Through The Bible In One Year - 2012

As you prepare for 2012, I want to invite you to join the congregation of Calhoun First United Methodist Church in reading through the Bible in one year. We will begin on Monday, January 2 and continue until the last day of the year. Each week, we will have a new set of Scripture readings. I will post the reading each week on Facebook, Twitter, and on this blog.

Our theme words for this endeavor and for our coinciding year long sermon series is Matthew 4:4 - Jesus answered, "It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

To follow us on Facebook and receive the reading for the week, search for and like the group "Calhoun First United Methodist Church."

To follow us on Twitter, search for and follow "revmaddog". This is my own personal Twitter feed.

You can revisit this blog every Monday as well to find the reading for the week.

The reading for week one (January 2-8) is Genesis 1-13.

May you encounter the living, breathing Word of God as you read through the Scriptures and find nourishment for your soul.

Blessings in Christ!
Brian
